Frequently asked questions
Everything about tracking visa & residency rules with VisaBorders.
What is VisaBorders?
VisaBorders tracks visa, digital-nomad and residency rules across 190+ countries and alerts you the moment a requirement, fee or deadline changes. It also includes a free Schengen 90/180 and 183-day tax-residency day counter, and a passport-to-destination visa checker.
How do you detect rule changes?
We monitor official government sources and open visa datasets, snapshot every requirement, and run each refresh through our change engine. When something moves — an income threshold, bank-statement requirement, processing time, or a new/closed program — it appears in the changelog and we alert everyone tracking that country.
Do I need a visa for a specific country?
Use the free Visa checker: pick your passport and a destination to instantly see the entry rule (visa-free, visa on arrival, e-Visa, eTA or visa required) and how many days you get.
Which countries are covered?
Entry requirements cover 190+ passports and destinations. On top of that we curate digital-nomad and residency programs (income, duration, documents) for popular destinations, expanding over time.
Is it free?
Yes — Free lets you track 1 country and use the day counter, visa checker and full changelog. Pro ($6.99/mo) tracks 25 countries with rule-change alerts, the eligibility matcher, document checklists and the multi-zone tax counter. Max ($14.99/mo) is unlimited with API access and multiple traveler profiles.
How do I get alerts?
By email on every paid plan. Pro and Max also unlock Telegram and push. You choose your channels in Settings.
Is this legal or immigration advice?
No. VisaBorders provides general information aggregated from public and official sources. Every page links the official source and shows when it was last verified — always confirm with the official government source or embassy before you act.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your billing portal; you keep Pro/Max access until the end of the period, then drop to Free.
Do you sell my data?
No. We only use your data to run the service, and the day counter stays entirely in your browser. See our Privacy Policy.
